Start Preparing with ACT Now Tutoring

Your student’s time is valuable and I’m more interested in providing results than simply collecting a tutoring fee. Before we commit to any tutoring plans, making sure the journey together will be a good fit is important to ensure that your child and I that can effectively work together.

1) Let’s Chat!

Before anyone commits to anything, let’s discuss what is needed: Test prep? Homework help? Is the classroom teacher not explaining so that the student understands and maybe hearing the content from someone else might be useful? If I can’t help, I might be able to direct you to a tutor who can.

2) Free Low-Commitment Meet-and-Greet

I’ll meet with your child on Zoom, at your home, or in a library to discuss interests/learning styles/fear/strengths with no charge.

3) Time

I’ll give the adult and student time to think about what is next. You can let me know whenever you are ready to begin or if you don’t want to move forward with ACT Now Tutoring. No pressure and no hard feelings.

4) Schedule sessions

If the parent, the child, and I all agree working together will be beneficial, then after a payment for a package of sessions (see the pricing page), I’ll begin working with the student.

Our Approach

FOR TEST PREP: Most students can make notable improvements to their ACT scores with just a 8-12 hours of tutoring with an elite tutor. ACT Now Tutoring’s typical approach includes two 1-hour sessions in each English, science, reading, and math for a total of 8 hours. Please be cautious of companies that claim they need more time than that for test prep.

FOR TRADITIONAL TUTORING: Locking in a consistent time once a week or every other week is recommended to see growth in any subject.
