ACT Now tutor Mike Martin offers unparalleled experience in high school education and ACT prep.
With over 20 years of teaching experience, I focus on meaningful connections and help frustrated, overwhelmed students become confident and successful.

Meaningful Connections & Mutual Respect
Meet Mr. Martin
I have 20 years of experience teaching high school and have great pride for creating meaningful connections with students built on respect to develop each student’s strengths. I specialize in helping students who are introverted and overwhelmed with a hectic school day manage their thought process to understand their unique mindset to prepare them for standardized tests and life beyond school.
Through this method of instruction, my students have scored among the highest on standardized tests in Missouri and Illinois. Students with whom I work say that they learn more and feel more confident with their attitude toward school.
A student-centered approach
Classrooms serve 20+ students at a time and yield to generalized district standards that work for some, but this type of instruction does not always benefit all students. As a result, some student needs are ignored as a tradeoff for the push to keep moving forward.
Young adults who are burned out with the stress of school, apathetic about the classroom experience, or simply want to succeed with minimal distractions will find success with ACT Now Tutoring. My approach is to help students discover and use their strengths, surprise themselves with a desire to excel, and create an individualized plan for academic success.
Hear from satisfied individuals
Despite what I expected, I was able to score a 34 on the English portion of the ACT and can proudly credit that to the work you put into preparing your students for the ACT and the psychology behind the test.
I want to be a better person, I want to be a kinder person, work on my grades, and make sure I’m taking care of myself and my mental health…thank you for making me feel like I can be myself.
Mr. Martin really listens to my child. I appreciate how he changes his words when my son doesn’t understand something the first time.
